Kuramo does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. This policy describes what the app does with information on your device, because that is all it does.
Your routines. Workouts you create are written to a file inside the app's own storage on your device. They are never uploaded.
Your settings. Your display name for hosting, and your bell and voice-cue preferences, are stored on your device.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
Kuramo uses the camera for one purpose: reading a QR code so you can join someone's run. Frames are decoded on your device as they arrive and are discarded immediately. No photo or video is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere, and the app has no access to your photo library.
When you host a run, the QR code your phone displays contains the workout itself (its phases, durations and any notes you added) and the exact time the run starts, plus the display name you chose. Anyone who scans that code receives that information. This is the entire mechanism by which two phones stay in sync, and it happens directly between the screens of the two devices with nothing in between.
You control this completely: information leaves your phone only when you choose to display a code, and only to whoever you show it to.
Kuramo collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version of the app collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here.

How does joining a run work?
The host taps the QR icon, picks how long until the start, and generates a code. That code carries the whole workout and the exact instant it begins. Everyone else scans it. Each phone then works out the current interval from its own clock, so nothing needs to pass between the phones after the scan, and there is no internet or account involved.
Someone scanned late. Are they behind?
No. A late scan lands on whatever phase the run is already in, with the correct time remaining. Scanning after the workout has finished opens on Done.
How exactly do two phones stay in sync?
Both hold the same start instant and each reads its own clock. Nothing corrects for a phone whose clock is wrong, so two phones agree exactly as well as their clocks do. If a phone is noticeably off, turn on Set Automatically under Settings › General › Date & Time.
Can I edit a session after generating the code?
No. The code is fixed once generated, because it is already on other people's phones. Any change means generating a new code and everyone scanning again.
Does the run keep going if I lock the screen or leave the app?
Yes. Bells, cues and haptics keep firing with the screen locked or the app in the background.
Does it need internet?
No. There are no accounts and no servers. The QR code is the session.
